Job Description

Duties: - initiate regular meetings with victims in person and on the phone - Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to victims of crime - Accompany victims to court hearings, interviews with prosecutors, law enforcement and other necessary appointments - Advocate for victims' rights and ensure their voices are heard throughout the criminal justice process - Collaborate with law enforcement, social service agencies, and other community organizations to coordinate services for victims - Document all interactions and maintain accurate records of services provided Qualifications: - Experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma or victimization - ability to use microsoft word and microsoft excel - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to manage conflict and de-escalate tense situations - Empathy and compassion for individuals in crisis - Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines Pay: $17.50 per hour Benefits: Employee assistance program Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Work Location: In person
